The Bee surname was used as a middle name due to the connection between the Bee and Tarver families. Captain E. R. Tarver's sister married General H. P. Bee, a Confederate General of Texas.

To find the link to your ancestry through your grandfather, Henry B. Tarver, I would suggest you order his original Social Security Card Application on which he would have written the names of his parents.
