Recently I purchased an 1851 Colt pistol with the name of B.E.Tarver on the bottom of the handle. I was told it possibly was Benjamin E. Tarver's. I found in the Texas history book that Benjamin Tarver lived above Brenham Texas and he was buried in the Masonic Cemetery there. The other day I went to the cemetery and found his head stone. The head stone only has B. Tarver on it.
