Thomas Pitkin Tarver, son of Elijah Lovett Tarver,
was killed in action, July 20, 1864, in the Battle
of Peachtree Creek, Atlanta, GA. Burial, unknown.
He was a private in Co. B, 33rd Miss. Infantry,
Amite County Guards. His name is on a monument at
our courthouse in Liberty, MS.
