After reviewing census records & marriage dates from Bourbon & Nicholas County, KY it is apparent that Elizabeth CRESS can’t be the mother of all Reuben’s children but in all probability Sarah SELF would have been the mother. I have corrected my data to reflect that conclusion. Marriage recording for Reuben & Elizabeth was 1834 and both appear to be living into their 80's in 1840 in Nicholas County, KY.
The other Reuben listed for marriage in Nicholas County was to Elizabeth A DAIZY 22 JAN 1824 was probably Reuben’s son Reuben b. 1804.
All those Reuben’s add to the confusion. (Six generations of Reuben’s in my line). Thanks Mike for making me look again. ct
