Ruth, I would encourage you to post your Tarry pedigree at the Terry DNA project. I know from reading in this forum you are a cousin of Shane Tarry. The dates and information I have on this family is sketchy. It appears there may be a relationship between Thomas Terry T-4 and Samuel Tarry T-1 although there are only 12 markers on T-1.
If you haven't done so already please add your pedigree....
You may or may not know I am also Co-Coordinator of the Terry/Tarry DNA project... DNA testing has really helped me put focus my own research... I would appreciate more information about your Terry family. We have found there is a connection between 11 Terry families to mine. The Chester Co. SC (Mine), Limestone Co./Lawrence Co. AL and Hardin/McNairy Terry families are in some way related back to Granville Co. NC and then to Hanover/Caroline/Pittsylvania-Halifax Co. VA. Hope you would join the DNA group.
