1900 Fannin Co., TX indicates William and Mary had been married 22 years. Mary had 12 children with 8 living at that time. William was a farmer.
1910 Fannin Co., TX records W.A. and Mary Knight as being married 23 years. Willaim was a farmer and Mary indicates that she had 9 children with 6 living.
1920 Fannin Co., TX, Billie and Mary Knight had one child remaining at home. Billie and his son Nathan were both farming. It is interesting to note that several households away the census records Willia Tory with his wife and step children. This could possibly be Mary's brother Willie Tarry as his age and place of birth fit and family stories indicate he'd been married for a time. I've not found Willie anywhere else in 1920.
1930 Fannin Co., TX records Mary Knight listed as 'Marry', living with her daughter Virda L. and her son-in-law Norman C. Flatt. Norman was farming.
Mary Knight and her husband Bill are buried in the Smyrna Cemetery in Fannin Co., TX. According to headstones Mary was born April 11, 1859 and died Oct. 1934. Bill was born Nov. 22, 1857 and died June 14, 1927. Their daughter Hattie is buried in the same plot and her date of birth is recorded as Nov. 28, 1879 and death as August 1888.
