Our little twig of the family emigrated to Australia in 1968. We are Kenneth William Tarry, who married Helen nee Roberts: they had Jacqueline (me), Christina and Audrey - all married now so the line stops here!
We are from the working class, and would probably have very humble ancestors - which is why I was always at a loss as to where to look for information.
Perhaps someone can help me.
Grandfather Francis William Tarry married Dorothy (Stay, I think) He was a merchant sailor. They lived their entire married lives in Croydon, Surrey. They had four children during the 1920s and 30s - my dad being one of them. They are Frank, Fred, Ken and Joan. Francis and William seem to appear frequently as names or middle names.
Shamefully, that's about all I know.
I'd be grateful to know of any connections.
