John B. Tarr of MD, PA related to my Balthasar Dorr in 1700s Germany?

I wonder if Johannes Balthaser Dorr/John B. Tarr of Maryland and Westmoreland Co.PA is a relative of my ancestor Balthasar Dorr who lived in the Frankfort-am-Main/Gross Umstadt area of Germany in the 1700s. Here is what I have:

Balthasar Dorr, a tanner by occupation, married Maria Catherina ______, and had at least one daughter, Margaretha Dorr, b. 21 January 1736/37, died 17 August 1775 in Gross Umstadt.

Margaretha Dorr married Heinrich Jacob Kaminsky in 1759 in Frankfort-am-Main. He was born in 1717 in Poland and died 23 September 1776 in Gross Umstadt, Germany. Two of their sons came to Baltimore County, Maryland around 1800. The name similarity and the connection with Maryland make me wonder if there is a relationship.
