HI - the info I have which came from a Tarr descendant in Louisiana says that Marion Alonzo Tarr was born 2-2-1864 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., Wisconsin - he ded 8-8-1930 in Aitkin, Minnesota
His Wife was Mable Claire Oppelt 10-14-1870 Hearty IA - 10-5-1911 Aitkin MN

Marion's parents were Rufus King Tarr who was born in MAINE 3-11-1824 - died 5-25-1897 (They were in Spring Water, Waushara Co., WI in 1880 census)
wife was Susan Jane Bates 10-14-1836 in CANADA - 1-21-1912

Rufus King Tarr and Susan Jane Bates Tarr were my stepfather's great grandparents
(They had a child named William Rufus Tarr married to Eliza Maude Allen - they had a daughter Ethel Tarr married to Howard N. Nourse - she died when Edgar(my stepfather) was 4 days old, and Howard adopted hime out to Julius Frater so he grew up as Edgar Frater born in Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., Wisconsin.

Parents of Rufus King Tarr were
John Tarr 9-25-1777 Georgetown, Sagadahoc Co., Maine - 8-5-1860 Salem Maine - Wife was Mary Pettingill 10-15-1781 - 2-5-1855 Salem Maine. married 1802 Salem Maine.

The Tarr's came from Maine and Massachusetts according to what I have found -
David
