Ray, How exciting that we are both descended from the same William Tarpley of Brunswick County! I have quite a bit of information on Edward Jones Tarpley, most of which you probably have if you have done much research on him during the time he was in Va. I am very willing to share what I have which is a lot of deed records, guardianship info., marriage record. I know that he moved to Wilkinson County around 1834 after suffering some financial reversals and died there Nov. 22, 1849. He had several guardians after his father's death, and spent part of his childhood in Charlotte County, Va.
I think Williamsburg would be an ideal location for a reunion and look forward to hearing more about it. You may e-mail me directly if you like.
