Hello Thomas
I am wondering if your father was a brother to William, also Robert,Arthur and Norah. Their parents were Thomas Joseph and Mary Cartwright who were married in Manchester,England.
My husband Raymond William, is the son of William, who was killed in a shunting accident on the railways in 1949.
Ray's mother Phyllis married again, and Ray's surname was changed from Tarpey to Hoad. Ray does not remember his father as he was only two when he died. I would love to find out some info about his family, as no one seems to know anything about William.
Any info about the family would be appreciated.
