William Tarleton, son of John Tarleton and Elizabeth Taylor, b. Apr. 13, 1782, married
Susannah Madan April 11, 1814 in Lewis Co., Ky. Was living in Mason Co. at one time.
Susannah was his second wife, according to
Carrie Tarleton Goldsborough (Tarleton Records). So Ms. Magruder could have been a
first wife, dying prior to 1814. There
were children, for in the census of 1810, he was listed (Mason Co.) as a shoemaker in the
group 26-45, having one female (26-45) and
three females under 10 years of age.
