Looking for information on William W. Tarkington born about 1820 NC died (before 1875?)Ar. Married Ruth Brooks Jan 4,1844 in Maury County, Tenn. He is in Hickman County, Tenn. in 1850 living beside a William Tarkington born about 1784 NC. He moves to Van Buren County, Ar. in 1860 and the elderly William Tarkington is living near by. I haven't been able to find him or his wife after 1860. His children are; Joanna born 1845 Tn, Issabella born 1847 Tn married Green L. Westerman, Sarah born 1849 Tn married Thomas W. Gainer, Hillary D. born 1851 Tn died before 1906 married Nancy A. Rhoads, William H. born 1853 Ar, Ben P. born 1855 Ar, Mary L. born 1957 Ar married Charles Roode and Amanda born 1859 Ar. Land records indicate they were still in the area in the 1870's, but not in the census. What happened to them? Where did they go? Any information on him, his parents or children would be greatly appreciated.
