Hi Joseph,
Henri Tardif and the 'Tardif Society' are better suited than I for research for Tardif surname, I can't compare to them. Anyway, you might try looking up the 'Ruest' and 'Theriault' lines to see what fate 'Flavie' had. I can't get in touch with the person I helped with the 'Teriault' line, but my understanding was that 'Ruest' passed away. Of course this is only heresay on the assumption that the children from Tardif/Ruest marriage were raised by the following Tardif/Theriault marriage.
Familysearch.com is a posibility or the genforums for 'Ruest' or 'Theriault' is another. I'll try to look further - good luck on your research!

Tony
