I ran across this short notice in the book (Marriage, Death and Legal Notices From Early Alabama Newspapers 1819-1893, compiled by Pauline Jones Gandrud):
State of Alabama--Morgan County. Orphan's Court December 19, 1827. William Burris and John Gandy, administrators of estate of Robert Tapscott, deceased.
Does anyone recogonize these people? Is there a family connection or a neighborly connection of which anyone is aware? I am a Burris researcher and we have hit that famous stone wall in Morgan County. Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
