I am also related to the Tappers in this area of Dorset. My great-uncle owned a farm at East Orchard.

William Tapper and Heaster Bolwell (both signed their names) were married at Iwerne Courtney (Shroton)on 26th December 1808. Somebody Lockyear witnessed the marriage as did Thomas Tapper.

I live in Birmingham now, but East Orchard was a very significant part of my growing up. I am taking my mother in 10 days time back to this area for a week, so that she can enjoy some memories.

Best wishes

Cherida Coleman
