Nancy, Your in luck!!
I have This Tappen line back to Otto Von Tappe. He was born in 1566 in Tappenburg,West Phalia,Prussia. Your Elizabeth is my 3G aunt. I do have one major question for you. Are you sure that Charles Fox was born in Marcellus, NY? If so, What county is that in? The reason I am asking this is that most of Elizabeth's siblings relocated to Marcellus,Cass County,Michigan including my 3G Grandfather.

Here is some of what I have...
Teunis Tappen(1787-1853)married Elizabeth Rynders(1791-?)
He was the son of John N. Style Tappen(1753-1846) and Rachael Van Bunscoten(1766-?)

Teunis and Elizabeth had eleven children and they are as follows...
1)John Tappen(1810-1884)married Elizabeth M.Hendrickson
2)My 3G Grandfather,Cornelius Tappen(1812-aft.1893)married Sara Harp
3)Rachael R.Tappen(1814-1887)married Joseph Bennett
4)Abram R.Tappen(1815-1891)married Harriet Alma(Elma)
5)Joseph S.Tappen(1817-1875)married Rhoda Mulleunix
6)Your Elizabeth Tappen(1820-1867)married Charles Fox
7)Christina Tappen(1822-?)married Israel Palmer
8)Merrit(Moret?) Tappen(1824-?)married Alvira Corey
9)Anna Mariah Tappen(1827-?)married Caleb Sears
10)Mary Jane Tappen(1829-1867)married William Peters
11)Harriet Tappen(1831-1849)Believed to have died unwed.

All of these eleven children were born in Sullivan County, NY.

I have a lot more information on your Elizabeth's direct line if your interested. I would also like anything you have.
Scott Tappen in Michigan
