You may want to check the LDS website for information. Mansfield Taplin/Tapley is listed as b abt 1693, and wife Mary JOHNSON b 1699 with a list of four children:
Mansfield Tapley b 1699
Mary Taplin b 1719
John b 28 Oct 1727
Isaac b 1729
I must think the first child, Mansfield, is actually the misplaced father with an approximated birth date.
