I am researching Taplin Family History and can give you information about Dr. Mortimer Mason Taplin. He was a brother of my great grandfather, George Ernest Taplin.
He was a son of Rufus Taplin and Lucy Stowell, and was born at the Taplin Homestead near Addison Ontario Canada on 25 June 1868. He attended Athens High School, Brockville Business College, and in 1892 he graduated with honours, in medicine, from McGill University (Montreal). He practiced medicine with his uncle, Dr. Oliver O. Stowell, in Copenhagen, N.Y. for four years, then opened his own office in Rochester N.Y. On Dec. 30, 1903, he married Nettie Vorce of Copenhagen N.Y. (born 27 July 1873, daughter of Asa Douglass Vorce). Mort and Nettie had two children: Ruth (born about 1905) and George Vorce Taplin (born about 1910). Mort died 9 Sept. 1913 (age 45 years), in Rochester N.Y. I have photos of Mort, Nettie, Ruth and George.
I am looking for information on Ruth and George and their descendants.
