The William Edgar who went to Texas was the son of William Edgar and Mary and a brother to my ancestor Harrison Tant. The other one, 1837 William, is buried at Friendship Baptist Church between Braswell and Burnt Hickory in Paulding Co. GA. Get in touch with Johnny Jacobs, he can tell you who 1837 William's parents were. He is a cousin to the William E. who went to TX. These people were not very creative in naming their children. They actually amused themselves by plotting things to do to confuse future genealogists, such as brothers giving their kids the same names, cousins with the same names marrying women with the same first names, etc. This was all done quite willfully to confuse future genealogists. These people are sitting up on a cloud somewhere laughing at our efforts to trace them.
