Samuel Tanner
Posted by: Cherele Tanner (ID *****3819) Date: March 19, 2003 at 10:03:11

Has ANYONE ever found any information on Samuel Tanner born 1744 NC died in IL in 1835. I know the names of all his children and where I descend from there. Rumor has it he was married to a cherokee indian and I can't verify this. Another note to this cherokee indian connection might be that one of Samuel son's James Tanner married Nancy Jernigan...whose father was Stephen Jernigan it has also been rumored that Stephen Jernigan's wife (Nancy's Mother) was the cherokee indian. Does anyone know anything?

Why is this Tanner line so limited on information????

please help.
