Jeff Tanner 4/14/00
I'm very curious about the family of Elizabeth Tanner born about 1834 (age from census record) in Ga.She married Isaac Beach on January 14, 1855 in Union County Georgia, they had daughters Mary C. Beach born 1856, and Sarah L. Beach born 1858.Isaac was in the Civil War, and though in 1860 they were in the Union County Census, he gave his county of residence as Coffee County in the war records. He enlisted August 31, 1861, was a 1st Sergt., Promoted to Full 2nd Lieut (In 1863)Served GeorgiaEnlisted K Co. 23rd Inf Reg. GA Killed at Cold Harbor, VA on 03 June 1864.Salt Records show Mrs. Isaac Beach, 1862, Wives with a husband or son now in Service.
Mrs. Isaac Beach listed again in 1862, no classification.
Mrs. Ike Beach, 1863, Wives of soldiers now in service.
Mrs. Elizabeth Beach, 1864, Widows of deceased soldiers.I can find no record of Elizabeth Tanner Beach and her two daughters after that, and would love to find out where they went.I think she may be the Daughter of Abraham Tanner, but the age isn't really matching up with his daughter Elizabeth in the 1850 census.I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Donna Smith
