Hi Gary,
I did make that trip to Maryland...and learned a couple of things about Elizabeth (Simmons) Tannehill. I thought you might be interested.... She was the daughter of Samuel Simmons (b. ca. 1737) who married Belinda Ford 9 Dec 1764. It appears that they lived in Frederick Co., Md. When her time came, Belinda left a will, and names her daughter "Elizabeth Tannehill" among her heirs. Her will is dated 11 Aug 1812 and was probated 16 Nov 1812. That said, I have not seen a copy myself, simply an abstract from another's research, which I found in the Montgomery County Historical Society Library, Montgomery Co., Maryland.
Elizabeth had several siblings, which are named, as well.
Cordially,
Fleur M.
