I am descended from John Tonger b. 1823 in Germany, d. 1903 in Ashford, NY. John married Mary Dankert in 1861. Their daughter, Mary Tonger, married Friedrich Gildner, who is my great great grandfather. If you can find anything on this branch, please let me know, as I am at a dead end! Thanks!
