TANDY or TANDEY Liverpool 1870/80's

Does anyone have a link with any Tandy's in liverpool?
Laurance Tandy married Alice Dumbell in liverpool in 1878 his father is James Tandy ( 1901 cenusus states he , laurance, was born in Drogheda) they had a few children,

Mary Tandy born about 1878/1879
Kate Tandy 1880 ( born Bootle)
William Tandy born 1885/1886 ( Married Eleanor McKenna)

One thing which is a bit strange is that Laurance is the only one in the whole family who spells his name as TANDEY on the marriage certificate.
