From the Sumner County Press, Sumner County, Kansas, Thursday October 30, 1884, p. 3:

DIED. – Thursday, Oct. 30, 1884, of consumption, after an illness of six months, during which time she has been confined to her bed, Sarah A. Tandy. Born Feb. 11, 1841, in Marion county, Kentucky. Funeral from the Baptist church, Friday at 2 o’clock p.m.
