Sue, I have a William Tandy (1818-1887) that was in Monroe County, Missouri in 1850 and then moved to Franklin County by the 1880 census. He married Elizabeth Spence on September 15, 1835. Elizabeth died in 1859 and then he married Jane Martin Ely in May, 1859. His children, by Elizabeth were: Adolphus, Mary B., Emily S., Henrietta Margaret, Thomas S., William A., Leonidas Warren, Edwin Edward, Elizabeth, and Willie Ann. His children by Jane were: Ella J., Jessie Martin, and Orien Ely. Do you know who Lena's parents were? I don't have her or a Samuel Sherman in my database, but my Tandy line was in Missouri.
