Soichy Tanaka, WWII

I am hoping to find information about a Japanese soldier during WWII. My grandmother's father. His name is Soichy Tanaka from Hiroshima. Now my grandma is 82 years old and she never knew her father. Mr. Tanaka was in Micronesia (Eastern Caroline Islands)during world war II and met with a Micronesian woman who bore him 3 daughters and grandma is the youngest. I am really hoping that Mr. Tanaka will have relatives out there or someone knows the story of this soldier.
