Algernon R. TAMS married - late in life - Mary or Marie Louise HICKS of Philadelphia, the daughter of Algernon's
landlady. He died sometime between 1910 and 1917 (City Directory entries).

Algernon was the son of George Y. Sr. TAMS (Civil War), who also had George Y. Jr. TAMS (Spanish-
American War). George Y. Sr. TAMS was the son of Edwin and Lydia TAMS, and they are all found together
in the 1880 Philadelphia census.
