Hi - info at St.Ignace Public Library on cards indicates James Blackburn Tamlyn b 1842 in England to James & Elizabeth(Gibson) Tamlyn. He died in 1909. He married Ella Duell b 1846 in Clio, MI. Says she died in 1919. They had one child Jacob "Jake" Tamlyn b Sept 29, 1868 in Fenton,MI. I have a copy of Jake's obit in 1953. Card also indicated that the Widow Tamlyn remarried William Coon in July 1912. Headstones at Lakeside Cemetary in St.Ignace - James B. Tamlyn April 22, 1842 - March 9, 1909. Eleanor A. 1849-1919. Also headstone for George W. Son of James B. & Ella A. Tamlyn, died Feb. 14, 1899, age 23 y 10 m 13 days. Sorry no more info on Ella. Will pass it on if I learn of any. I plan to look for more newspaper articles.
Jake's obit says he traveled with parents when he was 12 yrs. old to St.Ignace from east coast in covered wagon to settle MI.
