Hi Clair

My brother-in-law is a Tamblyn, but is not doing any family research. However during research on my own family, I've come across the name Tamblyn quite a few times, usually associated with South Australia. Apparently some of the Tamblyns of Cornish descent settled in what is known as "Australia's Little Cornwall" that is, the townships of Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.

The Australian War Memorial website also has several Tamblyns listed who served in both wars. Worth checking out if you haven't already done so. If you click on the "pdf document" icon beside the name you can find out age, place of residence and next of kin. Hope this has been of some help - Trish
