There is a land record for Virginia which states that Richard Bonne(Bonney) received 1300 acres in Lowere Norfolk County,Va. for transporting 26 persons into the colony. One of these people was Elizabeth Tam. Also on that ship was Robert Trayle(Trail) who quickly went up the Eastern Shore and eventually died in Sussex County,Del. in 1685. The names associated with James Tam and Ellen White are familiar to me from my studies of Robert Trayle(Trail). Do you know Ellen Whites ancestry? Can anyone write a short profile on James Tam? I thought it interesting that a man named Bunney wrote on the Tam family when it was a Bonney who brought Elizabeth Tam to America. I also hope to find if the ship that brought Elizabeth Tam over came from Scotland or Ireland. Trail is a Scottish name but there was a branch in County Down,Ireland in 1673.
