John Tam was my great-great-great-grandfather. According to information I received from another source, he and Elizabeth Thompson (b. July 4, 1809) were married in 1823. They had 7 children:

1. Hin b. 1828
2. Silas b. June 21, 1832; d. July 16, 1842
3. John b. March 7, 1834; d. April 4, 1837
4. Milton b. April 16, 1836; d. October 11, 1915; m. Urbanna Ohler
5. Margaret b. December 14, 1837; d. April 14, 1839
6. Cecilia b. 1840; d. ??
7. Elizabeth b. 1842; d. ??

I have quite a bit more information on the descendants of Milton Tam and would be happy to share it.
