Talmadge Family Genealogy Forum

While working on my family history of Washoe Valley,I have been thinking about a boyhood friend whose family owned Joy Lake and Frontier Town (?) near Slide Mountain, Reno,Nevada during the late 1950's to the mid- 1960s. My 5th and 6th grade friend at Brown Elementary, south of Reno, was Robert Talmadge Jr. whose grandfather was Buster Keaton. The fun town was replete with a stagecoach ride around the lake, a frontier main street (saloons, etc.). I remember one night we decided to sleep out under stars and laid our sleeping bags right on top of a very active ant hill! Robert's parents hosted the 6th grade (Brown Elementary) graduation party in the saloon in June 1961. I lived next the HALF WAY HOUSE, just north of the Winters Ranch Barn on US 395 in Washoe Valley. One time Chill Wills (WAGON TRAIN) appeared and gave me his picture while they were shooting at the town/Joy Lake. I am hoping the best for this person I have lost track of. What's happened since?
