Robin, I am happy to hear from you.I know Tim Tally through correspondance, and talk with him when possible.Hilkiah has not been the focal point of my search for Berry's folks ,but he may be as the son of Elizabeth Journey.
Abraham Tally has been my area of interest since John W. Tally's confederate military records led me to Bedford Co. Tenn. The records for John W.,Berry's third son, state his having been born in Bedford Co. and enlisted in Chatham Co.,N.C.
I believe I have found Berry in the 1830 census in Bedford CO., with Abraham Tally and his wife Mary Duncan. When Abraham, Mary, and their known children are removed from the record, those left match Berry and his three sons. There is another male in the household who I believe may be Wiley, son of Lodwick,JR.
This last item about Wiley is pure speculation, but seeing Abner and others in community there lends to me that possibility.
