Hellow Newton. I was wondering if the John you refer to that died in Nebraska was a son of Alexander Talley. I have been following a John F. Tally after I found a marriage record to Nellie Barnett in Saline County. I also found this particular John all the way to the 1930 census.
He was 77 there. Anyway I was following the Barnett line, but am unsure of her true name as on the 1880 census it is Mellie, on the marrige record in 1883 it is Nellie, 1920 Cneus it is Helen and 1930 Census it is all. all the while it appears to be the same woman!
If you can be of any help I would love to hear from you.
Michelle
