Peter Tallman (wife of Joan Briggs): Son of Henry, or Peter?

I have been researching Peter Tallman (1623-1708). Various sources list him with different parents. Some say he was born to Peter Talemann/Taelmann (b.1589) and Maria Von Peene (b.~1601). Others say he is the son of Henry Tallman (b.1586). Which is accurate?

One thing that is odd about Peter and Maria is that Maria was born in the Netherlands and died in the Netherlands. Peter, on the otherhand, was born in Antwerp and died in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Peter the son was born in Hamburg and also died in Rhode Island.

I am very confused, and hope someone can explain why there are two different parents listed for this man.
