Trying to locate maiden name of Ruth Talley. Info I have is:

1930 Census, District #11, Sheet 3 B dated 03 April 1930, line 56

there is a J. Tom Talley family Tom is age 48 b. AR father b. AR. mother b. AR is a carpenter, public bldg.

Wife is Ruthie unkn, age 47, b. AR. father b. KY. mother b. TN.

Son, Sam age 21, b. AR. is a truck driver , home furniture, father b. AR. mother b. AR

Entered on 31 Aug 2005 DOW

Note: 1920 & 1930 census are correct and not correct maybe?????

1920 census: Sam may not have been born yet so maybe why not on this one Ruth's parents show father born in TN & mother in KY (reverse from 1930 census)

1930 census: Woodson not shown on this, but could have been out of parents home at time as him & Maurine married at age 23.

Ruth's parents show father born in KY and mother born in TN (reversed from 1920 census)

Post I put on & Hollie009 responded.

Cemeteries of Dallas County, Arkansas, compiled by Dallas County Extension
Homemakers Council - December 31, 1996, shows in Oakland Cemetery, Fordyce,
Arkansas:
page 175 - James Thomas Talley 1881-1959;
page 175 - Ruth Talley 1882-1961;
page 176 - Woodson L. Talley - May 1906-June 1954.

Information received from my aunt & uncle (James & Ruth were their grandparents)
James T. Talley & Ruth Talley had 3 children:
Thelma then Woodson then Sam (Sam died early drinking).
Thelma married several times, but one name aunt remembers is Walter Sullivan (long marriage).
Sam died 1st, then Woodson then Thelma.
James T. Talley died before Ruth Talley. Uncle said James T. Talley always went by Tom not James.

Myra Maureen Talley and Woodson Levello Talley married April 20, 1929.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you
