Benjamin Swampy Tallant b. APR 1897 in TX. He was son of Benjamin Isaiah Tallant b. AUG 1857 Chambers County AL, d. MAR 20, 1925 Robertson County TX. Buried Bald Praire Cem. between Bremond and Franklin TX. He m. JAN 24, 1886 in Oxford MS to Sarah Ann Hill b. OCT 1860 Oxford MS - d. JUN 27, 1942. They resided McLennan County TX 1900-10 and his father, Benjamin O. and sister, Nancy J., resided with them in 1900. They had 8 children, 3 died as babies. The 5 that lived are Para Lee, Zora Mae, Benjamin S., Valley Bell "susie", and Dumas R. Benjamin O. was one of 9 children of James Wesley Tallant and Permelia "Amelia" Sledge. They are buried at Tallant-Sledge Cemetery in Pontotoc County MS. James Wesley is a son of Benjamin Ogden Tallant (NOV 10, 1824 SC - FEB 28, 1909)and Jarusha Parham Tallant. He is buried at Lorena Cemetery, Lorena TX. Benjamin Ogden is a son of John Tallant b. abt. 1796 in Anson County NC and Elizabeth Hancock b. 1800 NC.
