.04-7. DAVID HARTWELL TALLENT b. Oct. 1874. m. to Amanda Elizabeth ANGEL b. July 1879. Resides Madison Co., N.C. 1900 and Claiborne Co., Tn. 1910. They were buried in Mt Vernon, Rockcastle County, KY. Children:

5-3. James Melvin “Bill” Tallent b. 1908 in Knox Co TN , and died in Saginaw, Michigan. He married 3 Nov. 1928 to Lucy Ellen WALKER, daughter of JOHN WALKER and MARY TROTTER. They had three children and later divorced.
6-1. Mary Rowena Tallent b. 28 Feb. 1929, Sevier Co TN; d. 30 May 1998, Blount Co TN. She married 27 March 1949 in Rossville GA to Ray FOSTER b. 1929 – d. 1970, son of KELLY FOSTER and MARTHA FARR. Rowena worked for 35+ years at Blount Memorial Hospital starting as a Switchboard Operator and ending her career as the supervisor of the Collection Department. She attended Green Meadow Church of Christ and was a devout churchgoer. She was very well respected and loved by her 'family' there. Ray Foster was killed in a car accident on US Hwy 411 Blount Co TN and is buried beside his parents at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blount Co TN. He was a house painter by trade. They had 4 children
7-1. JOSEPH RAY FOSTER, b. 23 February 1950, Blount Co Tn. He married 2 November 1974 in Blount Co TN to SONJA JO WILLIAMS. Joe Foster served in the US Army 1969 until June 1971 when he received an honorable discharge. He achieved the rank of Sargent ES and was stationed at Fort Gorden, GA, Fort Polk LA, Vietnam, and Germany. He is a veteran of combat duty in Vietnam and received 1 Air Medal, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, and Service Awards. He is employed by ALCOA Aluminium Company of America and just received honors for 25 years of employment there. One child:
8-1. JODY RAY FOSTER, b. 12 February 1975. He married 25 April 1997 in West VA to SHANDRA MILLER. One child:
9-1. JOSEPH BAILEY FOSTER, b. 9 September 1999.
7-2. JAMES STEVEN FOSTER, b. 2 December 1952, Blount Co Tn. He married 12 November 1970 in Bryson City, NC to VICKI LYNN ELLIS, daughter of CLARENCE ELLIS and MARGARET ELLIS. Steve served in the US Navy from December 1971 until February 1975. He was stationed at Orlando, FL, Great Lakes IL, and Mayport, FL. He served on the USS Pawcatuc. Two children:
8-1. JAMES STEVEN, JR FOSTER, b. 8 April 1971.
8-2. JESSE COLEMAN FOSTER, b. 28 April 1979.
7-3. NANCY REBECCA FOSTER, b. 28 July 1954, Blount Co TN. She married ALVIN EDWARD MCFALL in Sevier Co TN. Nancy was a homemaker for years and now is employed at Asbury Acres Nursing Home as a Housekeeper. She is separated from her husband at this writing. Three children:
8-1. ALAN EDWARD MCFALL, b. 07 September 1972.
8-2. DANIEL ISREAL MCFALL, b. 17 March 1975.
8-3. ADAM RAY MCFALL, b. 22 November 1978.
7-4. ALICE MARIE FOSTER b. 15 September 1956, Blount Co TN. She married (1) 12 December 1974 in Jacksonville, FL to ROBERT WERNER LENDENMANN, JR. son of ROBERT LENDENMANN and MARGARET "PEGGY". She married (2) 01 November 1983 in Knox Co TN to DAVID CARROLL BLEVINS, son of ROBERT BLEVINS and NINA EXTINE. Alice Foster Blevins is a Greenhouse Grower by trade. David and Wanda Blevins operate a Greenhouse and Nursery business in Knox Co TN. As a young man, David and brother Bruce, were Champions of the Tough Man Contests held in Knoxville, TN. Brother Kenny also enjoyed boxing and boxed Silver Gloves in Knoxville with Trainer Ace Miller. Two children:
8-1. SARA NINETTE BLEVINS, b. 27 August 1981, San Bernadino CA. She married 22 September 1997 in Swain Co NC to RALPH VIRGIL LEE HENRY, son of GERALD HENRY and MARY STEVENS. She graduated Maryville High School, Maryville, TN in 1999. One child:
9-1. DAVID ARRAN HENRY, b. 19 January 1998.
8-2. DAVID CARROLL BLEVINS, JR., b. 9 January 1983.
6-2. Margaret "Billie" Tallent, b. 14 May 1930, married Carl VALENTINE and had two sons
7-1. MICHEAL WAYNE VALENTINE, b. TN. He married PRISCILLA LOVEDAY and currently reside in Victoria, Texas. As far as I know, Priscilla and her brother, Sam Loveday, were orphans. Two children:
8-1. MICHELLE VALENTINE.
8-2. CHRISTOPHER "BEAR" VALENTINE.
7-2. STEPHEN LYNN VALENTINE, b. Blount Co TN. He married (1) KAREN. He married (2) DENISE CAMPBELL. One child:
8-1. EMILY VALENTINE.
6-3. Marie Tallent, b. 11 July 1933, married Edward CODY had one son and a daughter.
7-1. DAVID CODY, b. 1955.
7-2. ANNETTE CODY. Annette is married and has two children.
