If Don Fritz can show me contemporary evidence that Henry and Mary Johnson had a daughter Anne, who had the middle name Taliaferro, I will be more than willing to agree that this suggests a link between the families.

I must confess that I have never seen the will of Henry Johnson, which seems a likely place for the name to appear.
