Robert Taliaferro in Va as early as 1638

Robert Taliaferro known to be in Virginia as early as 1638, Robert became a person of great consequence, for he had large land grants of Land in Gloucester County, on the Rappahannock River, including one of 6,500 acres which he patented with Major Lawrence Smith. He married Katherine Dedman(or Grymes). His son John Taliaferro married Sarah Smith, the daughter of Major Lawrence Smith. His son, Lawrence of "Epsom" was a sheriff of Essex Co, Va. md Sarah Thornton. Robert and Katherine Taliaferro's son Charles Taliaferro married Mary Carter (issue Charles Taliaferro), and their daughter Mary was born in 1658.
