I found the will of Matthew Talbot dated 5-31-1853 in San Jose, CA. He leaves the estate to his wife Elizabeth M. "in the state of Louisiana" and their children. The only child named is Matthew, Jr. who is named as his executor. Wit: Stephen and Pleasant Easley.
