hi, i typed in talbert plantation and your question came up. I was looking for info because my kin Samuel Vickers Cartledge Sr. married Eliza Ann Talbert on 2-26-1848 at Talberts Plantation. I've been told it was near Hardy Station but the person thought TN. I can't find a town by that name in either state. The letter I have goes on to say she is buried on a roadside in MS. She was born 1-26-1831 and died 9-20-1864. sad story- he was fighting in the civil war and came home on furlough cause his wife was soon to give birth only to arrive home and discover she'd been dead 3 weeks. That's all I had but before I answered you I found something else. A woman named Nellie Ruth Lambeth Harvey whose father was John W. Lambath and mother was Margaret Byron (Maggie) Talbert of Talbert Plantation in Keatchie, Caddo, Louisianna whose plantation lay in both Texas and Louisianna. Why are you looking? Ann
