Looking for connection or info on Josiah M. Talbert. Have access to civil war letter from Josiah to Mrs Dorcas Talbert dated 2/15/1863 which seems to be his wife. In the letter are references to his sister Jane and his Aunt Polly.
I am unsure if there is a link to my wife's family or if this letter was just included with other memorabila of the Arey family in Stanly Co. NC. The letter is Clearly signed by Josiah M. Talbert and is in very good condition. I cannot find this name in the civil war veteran file for NC.
