I have found name Tolladay in England
which seems to be the closest yet to all
the spellings. My great Grandfather
Casper Talladay used that spelling and my
Grandfathers death certificate says Tallada
and by the time it got to me it was Talada.
The census takers changed it at least in
Bradford County PA. Original I have is
Solomon Talladay buried in Athens Bradford
County Pa. who was in Revolutionary war and
moved to Wysox outside Towanda same county
after War. He had marched with General Sullivan during the war through that area
into Elmira New York and went back to settle
in the area after the war.
