Sir Peter Tait was born in Lerwick,Shetland as was I.
My great-grandmother Jemima Agnes Tait was a cousin.
There was another Tait knighted in the same family but in a different place.
Sir Frank Tait was one of the three sons of John Tait my great-grand uncle who emigrated from Shetland to Australia.
These sons founded the theatre in Melbourne--brought out famous performers from Europe as well as promoting Melba and others. They made and acted in the first Australian film-
"The Kelly Gang"
I would like to know more about Sir Peter and the Abraham family. I would be interested to know why he went to Limerick.
