Trying to trace back Tait family history. The Galashiels and Peebles areas are where the family lived in the 19th Century and I assume that the earlier generations would have come from the same area. The basic known facts that I have for the earliest three generations are:-

 John TAIT (date of birth unknown) married Jane Armstrong 30 August 1847. One known child;namely
 Thomas TAIT (date of birth unknown) who married Isobella Skea (surname Craigie by first marriage) 16 August 1883 in Galashiels. One known child;namely
 Thomas John TAIT (born 2 September 1887) married Maggie Temple 14 June 1916 in Galashiels.

Can you help me fill in the missing dates of birth and trace the ancestry?
