David, I am at the library and am a little rushed, but I will write more later probably. I have seen that book, but don't remember the bit about David and William, but I KNOW David was in AL. There is a book by Montague 1859, History of Randolph County IL, it says John and Daniel came to IL in 1807 and were with the Ranging Service, I am pretty sure John went back to SC at least once after that. It also says emigrant groups came in 1812,14,16, I am just sure Rebecca and Elenor must have been in one of them, no women are listed in this book. It also says John Lacy came to IL in 1804. Now then, another book says that a group of 31 interrelated persons came from SC to IL in 1804, it appears to have been led by Adam Hill and there were several Andersons. There are at least 3 Taggart/Anderson early marrriages that I know of, and I expect John Lacy was in this group. The Sparta list by Mrs. Frank Torrance has Rebecca's line, is Carolyn your ancestress? I can probably copy what she has on her, but my sources CERTAINLY indicate that they were all there before 1826/33! More later, Mary Lou
