Karen, I'm happy to hear from you. I don't know when Mrs.Torrance did those lists, but I saw them in 1994, and I think she may have done them a LONG time ago. I'm sure she's not around now. They are really marvelous, she must have talked to people who knew things, I knew almost nothing when I found them. All I had was the name of my great grandfather and the town of Sparta! It sounds like you have located Sarah and William in another county, there is no reference to Hutchison in the Randolph Co genealogy society booklets that I have, Sarah's mother was Jane Anderson so she must have been living with Sarah when she died. I know nothing about the names Burton or Green. According to the obit for Moses, the family was from Co.Tyrone in northern Ireland, but I looked at some Irish records and found nothing except the family of Francis and Dorothy, I think Francis might have been an uncle to John and Moses. The name Francis is in the family. I did some looking around the other day for Elenor, both the names Gibson and Wallace seem possible. There was a Wallace family in Abbeville and the name Eleanor is in the family. There were Gibson's in Abbeville, and one of them moved on to the Sparta area and is buried there. We really don't know anything about Elenor, maybe she was a widow or a young second wife to John?? You can pull up all the genforum entries for these people if you use the search box, and enter names like Abbeville, Moses, or Elenor! Moses is VERY interesting, there is a lot known about him. I think I have some census entries for Jane and her sister Margaret, I will look at my notes. Mary Lou
